The rain pitter patters,
My keyboard clicks away,
Mother's pen scrawls all over,
These are the noises of our day.

Raindrops crash onto our arms,
Sunlight is absorbed through our pores,
Cashmere sweaters warm the skin,
These are the feelings of our day.

The pinks of the sunrising,
The blues of the sparkling ocean,
Red tints in sun kissed hair,
These are the colors of our day.

Cookies baking in the oven,
Fresh cut grass in the yard,
Woody smell of a cedar chest,
These are the scents of our day.

Warm apple pie melting on your tongue,
The bitter bite of lemons,
Savory, salty potato chips,
These are the tastes of our day.

Hearing of tapping,
Feeling a gentle touch,
Seeing a rainbow,
Smelling fresh air,
And tasting delectable foods.
These are the senses of our body. These are the joys of each day.
