A fireman in all his gear
Is something I hold dear
Tall and strong they stand
Never fear to take their hand.



Run in, not out that's what these

People I hold so dear say
They won't run away any day

They are here to stay

They stand unafraid even when

Flames reach sky high.
Unafraid to risk their lives
To save those trapped inside.

Running in not out these
Firemen say risking it all
It could be an art
To me they are heroes
These people that always say
I run in, not out.

The author's comments:
My father is a fireman in the running for an award for going to the most calls to save people who needed him and I thought he and all the other men and women in the world who serve as firefighters, police officers, and any other person who risks their lives to saves other people desperately in need of their help needed a little tribute to them...so this is what I wrote for the people I look up to as great heroes

Thanks i wrote this for my dad to tell him that i love him and that i'm proud that he's a firefighter and he is my hero
