Confessing
Submerged in hope, she said
“I love you,”
With tears that soaked the soul
Reaching beneath emptiness
Searching for a home
Amongst the scarlet ashes
Of a life that had been lived
But never truly cherished
As her sacred words
He takes her brave confession
And buries it within
Boosting up an ego
That leads the girls to him
With it he will prosper
Regardless of her pain
Burying in ashes
Her single
Burning
Hope
Rejected.
