Snow
Where have you gone?
Where is your touch that sends shivers
down my spine?
I have seen so little of you, yet you always
excite me, and fill me with joy only you can give.
When I think of you, the temperature feels 20 degrees cooler
then when I think of your brother.
When I hope to see you, you never come.
There is a short window of time when you can come,
yet you haven’t.
When you arrive, you almost always take me out of school.
Whenever you’re here, we play together for hours on end.
Then we sit by the fire to warm up while we slowly sip hot chocolate.
When I go to bed, I think of you and sometimes you’re there,
and I greet you with a smile.
But sometimes you’re gone without a trace and without a goodbye.
I have to wait till next time to see you.
To feel the love and joy reserved only for you.
Throughout the year I picture you, and review
all the memories we’ve shared.
Memories of snowball fights and snow angels
that seem to dance around you.
Over the years I change and you don’t,
but my feelings never leave, and never change.
I still love you, and long for your touch on my skin.

Yeah I agree with StarlitSunrise. It's a cute idea making snow a friend.

This is cute. :) I like how you've described the snow as a friend rather than an entity of nature. Overall, a nice idea. Keep writing!
