"The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique."- Walt Disney

The road has been long,
Lives have been lost,
But it seems that with time that we have forgot.
Our founding fathers,
Their hopes and dreams,
For a country that seems,
To have been divided,
The equality forgotten.
Thus men have died to get back what was lost,
Their devotion still dwindles,
On a battlefield so bloodied,
Dear people take what they left,
So as to continue on,
And complete what it was that they could not.

This is a poem I wrote for an assignment for extra credit. The Gettysburg Address is one of my favorite speeches and i felt i should do my own little ode to it.
