We Love For What We See
We don’t love for what they show us,
we love for what we see.
Not the leaves always blooming,
but the roots under the tree.
We don’t love for the burning flames,
but for the bright spark that ignites.
It’s not the echoes that we adore,
but the calling voice that delights.
We don’t live for the melody,
but for the thought behind the song.
And its not the photograph,
but the moment we so long.
So when you try to capture me,
make me love you everyday,
remember its what you are I need,
not what you do or say.
