I try once more,
attempt to prove to myself that maybe it's out there,
maybe what has been written for centuries,
what has connected and destroyed nations,
what has made ones flourish or meet their demise,
I want to try again.

But you are hardened in your thoughts,
leading me on and dropping me off,
I'm lost in the frozen abyss of your eyes.
