What I want
November 29, 2011
I just want to write a poem,
Using metaphors and similes,
Drawing pictures in your mind.
Making you not want to put it down,
Speculate about all the possible meanings,
Ponder on whether you agree with me;
But most of all leave an imprint on your thoughts for the rest of the day.
Sometimes it’s all about controversy,
Creating discussion,
And not letting you know what’s coming next.
I just want to write a poem,
That will just make you want to stop there for a while and wonder
What is this really about?
