Pride Of A Juggernaut

He looked down at him
For weakness and defeat
And tears crashing down his face like the Grand Rapids
Or nothing left except a crushed individual

But then he notices a different man
A man with shining pride and holding his head higher than the heavens
A man who has overcome the doubt, the belittling and adversity
The man who has proved them all wrong
He is no loser
No coward, but a victor

His dignity never bashed by the name calling or the put downs
He holds his head high though the others laugh at him like chuckling hyenas
Laughing at his pride
Laughing at his heart

Then man realized who he was laughing at
A juggernaut
A prideful, full hearted, powerful juggernaut
This man-his coach- stepped back and shook his hand
The coach had realized all along that he was wrong
This kid isn’t who he thought he was
He was a juggernaut who could never be defeated or robbed of his pride
This kid had the heart of a champion and will prevail over anything in his path
