"Because I knew you, I have been changed for good" AND "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all"

Cup of lead and glass of oils
Twisting coiled, sparkling shadow-like
Folded columns not unlike darkest fate
Hourglass cracked upon a pedestal

Night unleashed from cloud’s bright eye
Forks in pathways thirty strong
Songs only written and never arranged
Flight of nations and arrival of peoples

Fire puts out water while lightning surges into rock
A giant trips and so the city spins around
Crown of swords tips precariously but is caught
Finally a whisper makes a wave tumble into more.

The author's comments:
The line about "cup of lead and oil" was something that just kind of popped into my head a few days ago, and I thought it sounded really cool. I might work it into some other pieces, but I thought it would be fun to couple it with some other equally dramatic and unintelligible language.

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep." -Robert Frost

it's really hard to understand... but it sounds good if you say it- it sounds really like one of those jumbled oracle prophecies if you ask me, so good job!
