Forgotten Sisters
I thought I could fix you, but I can't
Maybe its because I'm broken myself
Or maybe you're just too ignorant to realize you're shattered like glass, too

I remember the days when we were whole
You and I were so close
Pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly
So perfectly we felt immortal; you and I
Skipping class and shrugging at that word...
 What was it again?
 Oh yeah: responsible
 We didn't care
 We could fly

 What happened to the smiles?
 The joy?
 The tears of gold?
Who even turned their back first?
 You or me?
 Maybe we'll never know
Maybe this sisterhood has faded like the last laugh in an empty room,

But if there's one thing I'll never forget, it's your eyes
I can still see them staring at me: the most brilliant shade of sea-glass green
