Fallen Angel

Why is he born to rise,
yet continues to fall.
He always gives it his all,
but can't ever find a way
to end the quarrel.
He is called amazing and sweet,
but whenever they greet
they have a mirroring smile.
They seem as if to care,
but when he lifts them into the air
they only let him sink.
He is the fallen one.
Loved yet lost.
Never truly what he seems.
He fakes a smile,
to show for awhile
that he is ok.
But at the end of the day,
he seems to say
that he wishes it would all just stop.
