If this is all I am allowed,
I am content,
For merely being in your presence allows my spirits to take flight,
Soar.
A simple glance in your direction makes my heart,
My body's metronome,
Skip a beat,
And fall into a more comfortable rhythm,
Despite increase in speed.
Oh, how I wish you knew you are the subject of my adoration,

The radiance of your smile is dazzling,
Far outshining the sun.

Though,
I fear it is the wrath of God I have invoked.
So, for fear of divine retribution,
For fear of rejection,
For fear of love,
I wait in the wings,
Forever forced to be content with being content.
I wish I had the courage to type your name in the title.
(im)patiently yours,
Me
