You who are born of nothing
with your hair so white,
Sing me a lullabye
using only the night
as your voice.
You who are born of nothing
with your feathery wings so white
tell me a tale with
only the light of a lamp
to show me the way.
You who are born of nothing
dance with only the clouds at your feet,
And a sparrow as your company.
You who are born of nothing
can not fill me with laughter
when you dream,
The world without colour sinks.
You who are born of nothing
Share no secret without me there to
carry it away.
