Stuck on the Ground

You picked my head up when it was down
I tried so many times to help myself
But I’m too weak
So I stay on the ground
You’d look me in the eyes with an intense stare
I couldn’t help but say sorry
I couldn’t help but stare
I couldn’t help but cry
I couldn’t help myself to help you
So you took over and helped me through
I’d hit the ground and you’d be right there
I never knew I’d lose you before I cared to share
I love you
I always have
I always will
Now I’m stuck on the ground
And you’re not even here
