We started out just as friends
With nothing else in mind
I came to you when in trouble
And you were always there
You cheered me on
Prayed when I was worried
Spoke words of wisdom when I was afraid
Always had a helping hand
I called you my best friend
And gave you my trust
We helped each other grow
We spent late nights talking
We grew to be such great friends
That’s how it started
