The breeze is cool
As it wafts through my window
 Cars rumble down the road
A song is stuck in my head
 Ringing in my ears
 Waiting
 Begging to be let out
But tonight is unlike other nights
I can feel it in the air
 I am so determined
To get all my thoughts down
 Down on paper
I need to listen to only my heart
Why does it feel so necessary tonight?
 Has it been so long?
 That question was rhetorical...
 Sadly
 It has been very long
I rearrange the pile of pillows below me
 I can't figure it out
 My motivation behind it
The thrill of it being written
 In ink
 Its solidness
 Like stone
 Carved into a shape
 That will remain
 Forever
 Inhaling
I look at my work so far
 Blue
The color blue dances all over my crisp, white paper
 Finally
 I am happy
