Jake's Poem
August 8, 2011
it took away his hair
and tried to take his life
it attempted to take his pride
but he learned to fight
with me by his side
through thick and thin
we'll teach them
that you can fight
for he does day and night
he has to use a walker and take many pills
but I still see him as my best friend
he's going through chemo
it makes him tired
but in all this he will
always have a smile
we'll cry and laugh
whisper and yell
but he'll beat this cancer
and have a story to tell
