Is this how it is?
So someone just left (passed/died – whatever makes you feel better/whichever floats your boat)
and I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do
I don’t know why, or even what
and what I’m supposed to say

 It’s supposed to be more
 - someone going -
It’s supposed to make you hurt
 - make you feel

But today feels like any other day
 albeit a little more lost
 - I don’t know what to say

 (We weren’t close -
We could hardly be called friends)
How am I supposed to switch my verbs up?
 - supposed to cry or smile?
(How am I supposed to know)
What I am supposed to say?

What are the rules for this game
 I don’t want to play?
