dear people of this world
i will no longer
be your puppet
i will no longer
change myself to be
easier on /your/ eyes
or ears
i will no longer cloak my faith
i love God and Jesus and
i'm not afraid to say it
i will speak my mind
and you will listen
i will no longer hide myself
i will no longer listen to you mindlessly
i will no longer live in fear
i will cut the strings that lead
from me to your hand
i will remove your hand from my back
i will break away from your control
i will live my own life
