Omnia vincit amor et nos cedamus amori- Love conquers all let us yield to love
Sweat Dries, Blood Clots, Bones Heal, Suck it up and dance!
If they give you ruled paper, write the other way

Bruises
The color of amethysts
A jigsaw puzzle of flesh
Is all that remains
Is all that is left
Of me

You broke me
Left me on the floor
My head reeling
Blood on the ground
Staining the purest skin
White like snow

Light that blinds
Getting brighter
Making me sick
Crying, tossing, turning,
Bleeding, sobbing

Til the light goes out
I was broken but am no more
Somebody save me

I guess I could say this poem is about someone in some sort of an abusive relationship, but that isn't anything relative to me. I was inspired to write this poem one day because I saw this one shade of purple on a white shell, and it looked like a bruise.
