Love is a battle

I sit here alone
alone with my broken heart
abandoned by the world
abandoned by love
it's your fault
you did this to me
but I let you
but I loved you
how can people stand so tall?
when hope is lost
in love
in life
don't speak
a hammer loves to hear the nail crack
to hear it cry
stand strong
stay brave
arm your heart
for the heartbreak it takes
when you're fight is won
well, it never really is
love is tragedy
too many lives are lost
regrets are for the scared
be brave
don't cry
love is a battle
even the strong don't always win
