Don’t you trust me?
Please, just let me be
I’ll do my thing, you’ll do yours
You can’t keep locking all my doors
I know how you feel in your heart,
But let us drift a little apart
We have the sea between us,
But I’m not allowed to move
If I try and swim, I know I will lose
Don’t you trust me not to drown?
Become like a fish, and never come back to ground?
You do your thing, and I’ll do mine
You can’t keep us tied like twine
The rope is getting thinner with every step we take
Please, my love, don’t make it break
