Death eats me
Eats me for sympathy
Eats me for desperation
Eats me for my own life

Death doesn’t love me
It hates me
Yet desires me
And fills me with ashes of my own blood

Death gives me away
Showing me to the world
Death eats me away
Until there is nothing left

The author's comments:
My inspiration for this piece was all of my loved ones that I have lost. The eight people that I have lost in the last seven years have inspired me to write how I feel with them gone. I hope people get the message from this poem.
