Breathlessly Enchanted

Big brown eyes,
Long, teasing lashes,
Laughing aloud
As I he abashes.
Does he notice
How I can’t stop grinning?
I feel like Charlie Sheen-
Forever and always winning.
Softly spoken,
Contagious laughter,
How I wish he could see
My vision of ever after.
One day he’ll know,
One day he’ll see
That the thing he’s been looking for
Is- and has always been- me.
His eyes are in my mind,
Forever implanted.
Leaving me foolishly,
Breathlessly enchanted.
