Engulfed in Blackness
In a place that is dark and dreary
My body weak, my heart is weary
The darkness around me was bleak and haunted
But, strangely, I found my mind undaunted

I saw, in the distance, a glowing light
The darkness lifted to my delight
Its fiery blaze burned in my chest
The sadness left, I'm no longer depressed

The light lingered, the darkness gone
I knew now nothing would go wrong
I looked forward and made haste
I needed to get out of this dreary place
