The Language of Listeners MAG
well, if you do happen to remember
how we used to take dictation
 from the trees

 and scribble their murmurings
 onto the sky
in the script of our language

 which everyone,
 including us,
 had forgotten how to speak

then please call me again tonight
 and we'll both stand alone
 on our separate mountains

 and maybe listen
 to what the stars
 have been trying to say

 all these years.
