Daddy's Eyes

Your eyes are on fire
And sometimes there soft
They burn with anger
And scold me with every blink
My eyes sizzle with tears
As yours burn them away
They blister my conscience
And torch my regrets
They watch my every move
Like a forest fire it rages behind me
I run, into success
They can tuck me in at night
or glow when I wake
Your eyes melt me
Confusion warms me
Who are you?
