Tossing and turning
restless in my sleep
no better when I wake
demons haunt my thoughts
I tremor and shake in the swirling mist
I lose who I am
Who I was
Who I could ever be
to the darkness within
A battle I cannot win
A shadow I remain
in a world that could care less
until the sea runs dry
the winds begin to cease
A shadow, a captive
Forever
in defeat
