Loneliness

Loneliness creeps up in the middle of the night
I struggle in this fight
to do what is right
even though it is out of sight
The pain aches on
till I find relief in the darkness
it's the hardest
fight of my life
Faking
Aching
Shaking
NOW it's done
the pain is gone but
Still I fight on
Taking a deep breath I'm
determined to win,
but once again
the loneliness crawls in.
