Sorry
“Sorry,” you say.
“Sorry” is not enough.
You cause pain.
By intensifying hatefulness
And allowing the positive energy to escape
As if thoughts
And feelings
Should not make us connected.
“Sorry,” you say.
“Sorry” is not enough.
You cause pain.
Through the darkness in your eyes
As if they were designed
To substitute antagonism for love.
“Sorry,” you say.
“Sorry” is not enough.
You cause pain.
Through the vibration you send.
Like you intend to show
How someone else’s happiness
Offends you.
“Sorry,” you say.
“Sorry” is not enough.
You cause pain.
Through the coldness in the words you say
As if your tongue’s desire
Is to obstruct the joy of life.
“Sorry,” you say.
“Sorry” is not enough.
You cause pain.
By intentionally preferring to be
Selfish.
Self-centered.
Inconsiderate.
And you pretend like it does not hurt us.
Like it is completely nothing.
NOTHING!
You cause PAIN.
“Sorry,” you say.
“Sorry” is not enough.
