if i could tell you one thing
i would tell you
that you left your zipper down
or that you left your cell phone at my house
or maybe that you forgot to give me the money you owe me
not the important things
not that i appreciate you listening to
me complain
or that i'm glad i can always talk to you
or maybe that i care about you more than you know
but i don't have time
to tell you these things
because you should know
your shoes are untied
