Life’s a trick
Funny how things change over night
I laughed when you talked to me again
Honey I just wanted a friend
Give it up, don’t need your pride
Slow down, take a breath
Remember all you said
Said you wouldn’t hurt
Then what the hell is this
If it isn’t pain
Blame it on you, it’s my fault
Loosen your clenched fist
Love is just a game
Of course, can’t expect to win every time
That’s why I’m not yours and you’re not mine
Life’s a trick
Make the best of it
