In the mirror
I see a girl
A girl with shiny curls
A toothy grin
Sweet dimple caving in
Only wonder in gleaming eyes
Nothing to hate or despise
So much hope
So much to see
A love oh so serene
No touch of dread
A deep ignorant innocence
A parent’s warmth
A loyal friend
A child’s small dream
A wonderful future seen
A strong will
A forward approach
Experience her greatest coach
In this mirror in front of me
I see a girl I wish I could be
