The Pain
A new kind of pain
Not visible
Yet still plausible
I feel it
Like a thousand sharp blades
Slashing me
Cutting me
Until I bleed out
Until I bleed out everything
The love they said they had for me
That they never had the courage to show
The smiles that I used
To cover up my tears
The hits I took
The bruises they made
It’s a new kind of pain
I still feel it
I still hold onto it
Why you ask?
Because it is all I have left
