When?

Little whispers of death plague my thoughts
Every second a new plea for God to take me tonight
But does He?
Never
I wonder why
I am worthless, unwanted
Going no where in His journey of life
I sit in the darkness threatening to swallow me whole
Listen to them whisper in my ear
Reminding me that they are still here
Still wishing my untimely demise
Will tonight be the night He takes me?
