Smoke
Memories of laughing faces
 Timeless days spent together
Little things that made me smile
That was the way I loved him
It's funny how his hand was perfect
It was perfect for mine;It was warm,
Like his presence in my life
When he was away the clouds rolled in
 and I was alone
 Thoughts of eternity as one
 Thoughts of innocent love
One mistake that blew it up
 and only left the smoke
He was the fire to my soul
He was the laugh in my step
 He was everything I wanted
 In my innocent world
His hand held mine that summer's night
The streets were empty of all life
I never felt so blissful, so happy to be
We never saw the car plow through
Black night was all I saw
Until the flames came roaring by
They tore through my soul, my heart
 My paper world disintegrated
 And only left the smoke
