Dad and I
Dad
Even when he’s not within reach,
I feel him with me.
The good, bad, and ugly days.
The ups, downs, lefts, and rights.
Wins, loses, cheers, and tears.
Even when he’s not within reach,
I feel him with me.
Selfless and sweet,
All day he works on his feet.
Silent love is what he shows,
Pulling over and giving tows.
Always knowing what to say,
Please God don’t take him away.
A shoulder like a pillow.
A heart of gold.
A cig a day,
Keeps his doctor away.
He is the man,
We’re each others biggest fans.
Driving a truck,
Has a dog named buck.
Perfect orange car,
Loves driving to the bar.
A married man,
Living life without a plan.
Biggest piece to the puzzle,
He is our families glue.
Loving us dearly,
He is simple and true.
