Ubi Sum?

Where is the laughter, the bright child running free?
Where is the child, in the embrace of a family?
Where is the family, now broken and blamed?
Not here, no longer. Not since the Games.

Where is the entertainment that they enjoy so much?
Where is the enjoyment, and the root of such?
Where is the root of these lies and claims?
Not here, never was. Not in the Games.

Where am I, trembling from cold?
Where is the cold, from within is it controlled?
Where am I, no longer controlling my flames?
I am here, in the dark. Here in the Games.

The author's comments:
This piece is inspired by a book called The Hunger Games. It might not have much meaning for those who havn't read it, but I do hope you enjoy in anyway. The title loosely means "Where am I?" in Latin.

Touche. You do seem to be incapable of writing anything with a happy ending.

Sigh. It almost made me cry. Again. You really have to write something that doesn't make me cry.
