When life gives you lemons make grape juice. Then sit back and watch everyone look at you in amazement. :)

You tell me that you know
What it feels like
To have someone impale your arms
Trying to find a vein
Digging a needle around
Well, no. You don't know what it feels like.

It feels like burning ice
Trapped under my skin
The needle hits the scar tissue
Caused by all the previous diggings
But it manages to rip through, somehow

You tell me that you know
What it feels like
To have scars all over my body
Crisscrossing my arms and stomach
A road map of my pain
Well, no. You don't know what it feels like.

It feels like I am blemished
Unwholesome, ugly and disgusting
The product of some crazed doctor's experiment
A freak that belongs in a circus.
Through no fault of my own, except that I was born

You tell me that you know
What it feels like
To hurt so bad you cannot scream
Cold sweat on my forehead
Trying to survive long enough to breathe
Well, no. You don't know what it feels like.

It is agony, pure and unrefined
That I relive over and over
Screaming myself awake at night
To realize it is over, but never done with
Will it ever be done with?

You tell me that you know
But no, you don't
How can you?
Have you lived my pain?
Survived my hurt?
No.

So don't give me that line
You don't know
You never have
You never will

If you think the fact makes me happy
Or glad, or feel superior
Think again.

All it does, all it can do

Is make me feel even more alone
