If this were a book
I would wait for you
Years would pass
She would have left by then
And I sticking by your side
Would still be there
And in five years or so
You would realize you
Loved me, your best friend.
And it would be heart wrenchingly
Sappy.
Unfortunately, or maybe not so,
You are still my best friend
But you’re in love with her.
And it’s 8th grade.
