Ringmaster

A fierce beast
let from his cage
charging the ringmaster
yet confidence
sparkles
in his crimson eyes
a seasoned veteran
he plays he game
no whip in his hand
the lion still
charges
impact
gasps echo through the area
children start to weep
but one brave girl
has not shut her eyes
she alone has seen
the house cat appear
where that lion hit
content
the kitten sleeps
in the arms
of the crimson eyed
