"Why are you so busy trying to fit in when you were born to stand out?"

The falling of a tree
is a painful thing.
The closing of another life.
The terrible sucking of all oxygen.
In return, the winds cry out.
The oceans roar in protest and
the flowers close their petals
in deep despair.
Goodbye to another friend.
A supporter of life.
An honest and beautiful mother of earth.
Goodbye tree.
At least you know that someone loves you.
For I love you more
than the ringing of my cell phone
or the blaring TV in the background.
I love you more than cars and
trains and buses and planes.
I love your smell better than
chocolate chip cookies.
I love the sound of your voice only second to God.
I love you tree.

We should all learn to love the trees. They are more than just trees. They are life-supporters!

I think it's kind of strange that the rhymes you do have aren't at the end of the line. Otherwise though it was very interesting.

A nature fan yes? Similary to Just.A.Dream i also loved the 'bunch of things you listed and you said you loved the tree more.' I think that was the highlight of the poem, it grabs my attention. Well done!

I like this. :) I like how you have a bunch of things listed and you said you love the tree more. Very imaginative!
