I know you thought it was
Until I told you it wasn’t
It’s about someone
Who’s not quite so vain
And has a bigger heart than you
Who tries to succeed at life
Rather than watch themselves
Fall into a black pit
Who bright blue eyes
Tell me more than your
Carmel colored ones did
Like I said,
This poem
Was never about you
