Looking at the sky
Wondering where you could be
Curious if you’re thinking the same
Wondering if you’re thinking of me
Seems like forever
When it’s only been a day
You say you’re hurt
But I know you’ll be okay
Just waiting for my chance
Just waiting for you
Hoping that when it comes time
That you’ll feel the same way, too
Know you’re strong
Know you’ll be fine
But when it comes to someone dying,
All I can say is
“I hope it wasn’t mine…”
It might be selfish
It might be wrong
But as long as you’re safe
My worries will stay gone
