When I met you,
I instantly felt the connection,
Like a firefly in the darkened night sky,
You gave me hope, for what was to come,
Suddenly it seemed as though, everything I knew had changed,
The darkness that perpetually surrounded me,
Was lifeted to reveal,
How beautiful and happy life could be,
So when you left,
Not only did the dark clouds come back,
But they brought with them the rain,
And when the rain never stops,
You start to lose all hope,
And slowly,
You begin to fade away...
