i feel it too
my best friend.
 My sister
 She watches me, protects me.
 From them.
 I watch her, guard her.
 To see her hurt kills me;
 When she is scared,
 I feel it too
 Our pulses race, hearts pounding
 I hear her scream
All I can see is her
I only think of the danger she’s in.
 I feel it too.
 Then it changes
 I see what she sees
 A closed door
Empty darkness suffocating the both of us.
 I give her my strength
 She breaks the door down,
 Breathless with terror
 I am.
 I wish she’d realize
 I feel it too.
