A Disaster Fairytale
A soft kiss
Brings tears
To my eyes,
Setting fire
To dark pools
Of light.
Farewell,
Burned the
Gleaming
Fairytale castle,
To the ground.
The ruins
A forgotten,
Charred,
Left-over scruff
Of someone’s old
Leftover love.
The princess ran
Far, far as
Away as she could,
Her dresses and pearls
Shredded away
Along the journey.
Her prince ran
To the other
End of her world,
Cowering from the
Darkest dragon,
Who burned him
Too close to home.
The shining night
Gave up on his
Love
As did their
Gleaming
Fairytale kingdom.
The castle burned down,
And all that was left,
Was a runaway groom
And a girl broken hearted.
His last
Loving kiss
Whispered
Like death
In suicide,
Becoming her
To die away.
The fire from
His lips
Never left
Her own.
The burns
Traveled,
Throughout
Their gleaming
Fairytale.
