Constellations
The lights flicker

  on

     and

   off
 yellowish and gold
 in the moon's company
 peaking thorough the grey clouds
 shadows lingered
 casting themselves
 the uneasy dim street light
 flickered
 nervous
 as me
 lighting up your freckled face
 illuminating you handsome eyes
You told me the shadows to
 "never leave me"
the words escaped you lips and were as
 beautiful as the
 twinkling stars
clustered above the vast midnight abyss
 similar to our young love
a fragrant wind ruffled my brown hair
 You
pulled back the loose strands behind my ear
in the stillness of the night
 and the wonder of life
 he leaned
 our lips met
 total harmony
 nothing else matters
 besides
 you and me.
