I'm nothing but
a piece of furniture,
air you'll never breathe,
peeling yellow wallpaper,
chipping paintings that aren't
worth anything anymore,
fool's gold,
the rough among the
diamonds in the quarry,
a dull razor,
an inch of sewing thread,
a leaking battery,
the old toy beneath
your futon,
a doll gathering dust,
shattered porcelain,
I am nothing to you.
